2011 Lexus HS 250h Review

Lexus 250h HS 2011, the luxury hybrid vehicle first, was unveiled at the 2009 North American Car Hall International. The Lexus 250h hybrid Lexus HS will be the fourth and most fuel efficient vehicle in its lineup. Lexus will also be the first to use carbon-neutral eco-plastic materials in a new cabin and futuristic interior design.

An addition to the Lexus received "entry luxury sedan, the Lexus 250h HS fits perfectly between the luxury sedan and the IS sport luxury sedan. Research has shown that over 60 percent of car buyers entry luxury is considered a hybrid when available, and the Lexus HS will provide these consumers a viable option.

Equipped with Lexus' first four-cylinder gas 2.4-liter Atkinson cycle is the central part of the latest Lexus Hybrid Drive, which produces 187 horsepower throughout the system. Highly efficient Atkinson cycle engine, which allows variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) system that allows expansion / power stroke to be longer than the compression stroke so that the combustion energy can be effectively used for the production of engine power. Fuel efficiency Lexus 250h sedan HS is expected there will be no more than 30 percent better than the model is currently the most fuel efficient line Lexus, and earn the same assessment of emissions Sulev use a regular 87-octane gasoline. Among the technologies adopted 2.4-liter four-cylinder piston oil cooling jets, optimized the balance shaft to improve noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) characteristics and hot air exhaust system mounted behind the radiator.

As the brand new 2010 Lexus RX 450h hybrid SUV, which debuted in November Lexus 250h HS includes a new system designed to improve efficiency. System exhaust heat recovery reduces engine warm, which will stop earlier, more often and for longer periods. A windshield with reducing properties of infrared (IR), which helps keep the interior cooler, was adopted to reduce the amount of air conditioning is needed to reduce the temperature of the cabin. In addition to the recovery system exhaust heat and the windshield infrared as energy efficient LED headlights contribute to better energy efficiency and emissions.

The new Lexus 250h sedan HS 0.27 coefficient of drag (Cd) and makes the most aerodynamic in its class. Managing the flow of air on the outside, through floor heating, air passes through the widely studied. A single gull-wing shaped roof-panel design reduces the mass and the whole height of the vehicle, which reduces drag and improves fuel efficiency. Front spoiler, rear spoiler, rear under spoiler and diffuser fins, all designed to reduce turbulence. Smooth-pillar shape and the optimized shape of the curve of the side panels and bumpers also reduce wake turbulence, as well as an increase in side panels taper wing. Under the covers it is optimally positioned to reduce drag, while the flow control mode, the engine is reduced by optimizing the air duct profiles around the radiator.

The aerodynamic design also contributed to a reduction in wind noise. A smoother transition between the windshield (with an inner layer of sound insulation) and the roofline has been improved airflow and reduced turbulence.

As appropriate for the luxury vehicle first dedicated hybrid, the Lexus 250h includes SA adopted proactive herbal, carbon-neutral "green plastic" or bio-plastics in specific areas of the interior. Green plastic emits less carbon dioxide during the life cycle of a product that is only the plastic from oil. Areas of use are used for the first time in the upholstery industry to cut the luggage. Other areas are part of the skin cover, door sill, the toolbox of the area, the finished floor plate, seat cushions, and the platform behind the rear seats. Overall, about 30 percent of the inner surface and covered with plastic bags with the environment. During the useful life of the vehicle, the Lexus 250h HS will be approximately 20 percent less carbon dioxide emissions from the use of green trim plastic parts.

Like all Lexus hybrid models has been a significant amount of time spent in the development of the Lexus 250h HS with features optimized NVH. Dampers at each point engine mounting reduces noise and vibration, noise resonators to improve air intake and exhaust flow optimized reduces exhaust noise. Special coatings absorb both engine and road noise, while the improved seals around doors, hood and fenders reduce the penetration of wind noise in the cabin. Vibration was reduced by improving the shape and thickness of the suspension mounting points. In addition, cruise control power windows have been adopted from the LS luxury sedan, which provide a slow-moving and closing smoothly.

Lexus 250h HS casing provides excellent ride comfort and NVH requested decreased the hybrid Lexus. MacPherson strut front suspension is designed to achieve both direct and control the braking and steering feel. Double wishbone rear suspension provides excellent maneuverability, control and comfort of a low mountain spring, to promote a better package and an excellent cargo space. Coil springs, anti-roll bars and shock absorbers with coilover springs are used front and rear. Lexus 250h HS Series is uniquely designed for 17 - and 18-inch wheels optional.

Rack and pinion steering system can take advantage of brushless electric steering (EPS), steering motor, which offers better steering response, reduces feedback lasts, the more emissions are not flooding the engine power than traditional hydraulic systems.

EPS is an integral part of a lane vacant Keeping Assist System, a new driver that will add steering torque smoothly to help the car stay in the center of the lane. The amount of torque assisted is dependent on a camera for detecting the trail marker. It includes a Lane Departure Warning function that is designed to detect lane change, it gives the driver an audible signal, and provides feedback in the steering wheel to encourage corrective action.

Lexus HS is slightly longer than that and is higher than the IS and ES. It also has a great pair (hip hop to the distance between the front and rear passengers) than any other vehicle in its class except PE. The curved front cases also add to increased rear legroom.

Lexus HS has a unique cockpit and an advanced interior design that emphasizes innovation and craftsmanship. The cabin is unique and refined the standard leather upholstery, a sunroof, Lexus premium audio system and a new standard for multi-media package. The multimedia features include Bluetooth , integrated satellite radio (subscription required), voice recognition, USB connectivity and iPod are controlled through the steering wheel or screen. High contrast multi-information display on the dashboard indicator system measures hybrid controlled via steering wheel mounted, allowing the driver to easily control the functions and information.

Another key to the modern interior is Lexus' new album available on the hard disk drive (HDD) navigation system, which has a retractable navigation screen is placed far back and forward into the dashboard. The location helps to improve visibility and reduce the movement of the driver's eyes. Like the new Lexus RX, HS system contains the brand new "Touch Remote" controller that is both intuitive and user-friendly and allows easy operation of the navigation system. The controller is located on the center console and is as natural to hand the driver, such as a computer mouse. It can also be adapted to the desired level of haptic feedback.

The navigation system also includes a new casual-speech voice recognition. This makes it possible for motorists to allow more flexibility, controls conversation to facilitate access and control audio, climate and navigation. It also includes XM NavTraffic and NavWeatherTM with XM Sport and stock information.

It also helps to reduce eye movement of drivers is an option Heads-Up Display (HUD). The HUD uses high intensity LED display bright enough to be readable even in bright sunlight.

A first class, 10 airbags are standard on the all-new Lexus 250h SH, and active headrests that allow passengers in the event of certain types of rear impact. Lexus HS will also offer Lexus vehicles Stability Control (VSC) and the Pre-Collision System option in the system with dynamic radar control speed.

Available in a wide front track helps the driver to control hard to see areas. Using a camera mounted on the front bezel, the monitor offers a 190 degrees in front of the navigation page, click a button on the steering wheel.

The Lexus 250h Lexus HS also next generation telematics systems, Lexus and Enform Safety Connect. Safety Connect provide an automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle location, 24 / 7 emergency roadside assistance.

Lexus Enform target actors-Assist features to help drivers find points of interest such as shopping malls and other businesses, such as the Zagat-rated restaurants, and then wirelessly send you directly to the navigation system for cars.

Enform is the Lexus eDestination service will allow customers to pull up several points of interest on any computer and send them directly to the car navigation system. This innovative feature will allow drivers to send a total of 200 destinations for both vehicles.
